Yes, you will be charged a non-refundable NGN 500 fee for each USD card transaction that fails due to insufficient funds.

To avoid this fee, kindly ensure that your Chipper USD Card is always sufficiently funded in advance to cover all your one-time and recurring (subscription) online payments.

Is my Chipper USD Card directly connected to my Chipper Wallet?

No, your Chipper USD Card is not automatically tied to your Chipper Wallet in the same way your bank card service works! This means that your Chipper Card balance is different from your Chipper Wallet balance.

Your Chipper USD Card would need to be funded from your Chipper Wallet before it can be used.
