We do not charge any fees when you add funds to your Chipper GHS Card from your Chipper wallet OR when you withdraw the same funds back from your Chipper GHS Card into your Chipper wallet.

💡 However, please keep in mind that real-time exchange rates apply for GHS ➡ $ and

Would I be charged a fee if my Chipper USD Card gets declined due to insufficient funds?

Yes, you will be charged a non-refundable GHS 5 fee for each GHS card transaction that fails due to insufficient funds.

To avoid this fee, kindly ensure that your Chipper GHS Card is always sufficiently funded in advance to cover all your one-time and recurring (subscription) online payments.

Is my Chipper GHS Card directly connected to my Chipper Wallet?

No, your Chipper GHS Card is not automatically tied to your Chipper Wallet in the same way your bank card service works! This means that your Chipper Card balance is different from your Chipper Wallet balance.

Your Chipper GHS Card would need to be funded from your Chipper Wallet before you would be able to use it.

On what platforms can I use my Chipper GHS Card?

The Chipper GHS Card is available for both Domestic and International transactions.

Please note that you can only use the card on merchant sites that fall under our approved/supported merchant categories. The list of supported and unsupported merchant categories may evolve over time. We reserve the right to modify the list to meet certain legal and regulatory obligations.
