In order to verify your account, Chipper Cash requires a picture of yourself (a "selfie") and a photo of an accepted form of identification (excluding Nigeria, where BVN is the only accepted identification). To take these pictures, Chipper's verification website and the Chipper Cash app both need access to your device's camera.

When first prompted with the message, "chipper-verification.web.app wants to you your camera", Tap "Allow"

Not seeing the prompt?

That's okay. You have may have previously "Denied" permission. You can change your selection to "Allow" by taping on the green🔒 in the upper left of the screen and navigating to "Camera" in the Site Settings


Enabling the camera to snap a document

For most countries, you will be required to upload a document to verify your account. Documents are uploaded within the Chipper Cash app, so you must "Allow Chipper Cash to take pictures and record video."

When first prompted with the message, Tap "Allow"

Not a problem. The next time you try to snap a photo, you will be asked to Open Settings. Simply tap the "Camera" permission in the App Permissions to change your selection to "Allow"Not a problem.
