Cross-border transfers received from other Countries will be credited into your Chipper account in USD due to a CBN policy on all remittances into Nigeria. The USD funds can then be cashed out to a Naira bank account or to a Nigerian USD Domiciliary account.

💡 Please note that a $2 flat fee will be charged on each withdrawal made to a USD Domiciliary bank account.

N.B: The banks we currently support for Nigerian USD Domiciliary account cash out/withdrawal are Zenith Bank, GTB, Union Bank, UBA, and Wema Bank (You can't cash out to your Chipper NUBAN account).

To cash out funds from your Chipper USD wallet, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log into your Chipper app and tap on the flag at the top of the screen to switch to your available USD balance.

  2. Select your USD balance (You will be redirected to the homepage for your USD balance)

  3. Tap on the 3-dot icon below your wallet balance and tap the Cash Out button

  4. Select USD Domiciliary Account

  5. Enter the amount you would like to cash out and select(or link) the USD Dom bank account. Then confirm the details and tap Confirm to complete the transaction

  6. Your cash out should be completed to the USD Dom bank account shortly after that, and your USD balance debited.

The cash out should be successfully processed within 48 business hours.💲
