This feature is designed to enable Chipper customers in Uganda to add funds to their USD balance or cash out physical USD at any MoneyGram agent location. The customer can visit a MoneyGram agent location and exchange their local currency (UGX) for USD.
๐ก Please ensure your Chipper Cash app is updated to the latest version on your App Store or Play Store before you try out this feature.
How to Add Cash to your Chipper USD balance via MoneyGram
To add cash to your USD balance via MoneyGram, please follow these steps:
Tap on the USD icon on your home page.
Tap Add Cash, then select the MoneyGram option.
Enter the Deposit Amount, then click Continue.
You will then be redirected to a page that will require Chipper to access your device location. Please grant access.
Select your preferred location to view the available MoneyGram agents, then click Continue.
Input the required basic information and identification (ID) details.
Please ensure you review all the information before submitting your entry.
Once submitted, a Unique Reference Number will be generated for your transaction.
You can then visit your selected MoneyGram pickup location within 24 hours to make your deposit.
How to Cash Out/Withdraw funds from your Chipper USD balance via MoneyGram
To withdraw or cash out (physical cash) from your USD balance via MoneyGram, please follow these steps:
Tap on the USD icon on your Chipper homepage.
Tap Cash Out, then select the MoneyGram option.
Enter your preferred Withdrawal Amount, then click Continue.
You will then be redirected to a page that will require the Chipper Cash app to access your device location. Please grant access.
Select your preferred location to view the available MoneyGram agents, then click Continue.
Input the required basic information and identification (ID) details.
Please ensure you review all the information before submitting your entry.
Once submitted, a Unique Reference Number will be generated for your transaction.
You can then visit your selected MoneyGram pickup location within 24 hours to collect your cash.
โ ๏ธ Please note the following when visiting the MoneyGram agent location:
Go with the valid government-issued ID you selected, and have your account number ready.
Inform the agent that you are sending money to the United States.
Ensure the MoneyGram agent selects the "USDC wallet" service option when processing your transaction.
Your name should be entered as the "Receiver"
