Are you a user in Uganda or Nigeria? Here are the steps on how to add cash to your Chipper wallet:
Step 1: Log into your account and tap on the Add Cash button on your Home page
Step 2: Make sure the mobile money/bank account you want to add cash from is linked to your Chipper account.
If not, please select 'Add Payment Method' and follow the on-screen instructions to link a mobile money or bank account.

Step 3: Specify the amount you want to add, and if this is your first time adding cash with that card, enter your card number and its CVV code (the 3 digits found at the back of your card)
Step 3b: If it's not the first time you're adding cash from your card, you can go ahead and complete your "Add Cash" without entering your card number and CVV code.
Step 4: Follow the instructions you receive on your screen once you click on the 'Add' button. The instructions are different for each telecom company. For instance, you might be prompted to input your PIN number or generate a voucher code.
Effective October 7, 2022, the fee rebates made to Chipper accounts after “Add Cash” transactions will be discontinued until further notice for our Uganda (UGX) users. On the other hand, payments and transfers to mobile money remain free.
