With the Chipper Cash app, you can now cash out funds from your wallet directly to directly to a non-Chipper recipient, without the recipient having to download the app, onboard, verify or link a payment method. Users will be able to receive funds into specified Mobile money and Bank Accounts.

To cash out funds to a non-chipper mobile money or bank account number, please follow the steps below:


To Mobile Money

  1. Log into your Chipper app


  2. Tap on the Send button at the bottom-right corner of the Home page


  3. Select the “Outside Chipper” option


  4. Select the Country

  5. Tap on the preferred Telecom Provider e.g. Airtel or MTN

  6. Enter the recipient’s name, momo account number and amount. Then tap on Continue


  7. Confirm the transaction details and tap Send to complete the transaction


  8. Tap Done to return to the cash out screen


To a Bank Account

  1. Log into your Chipper app


  2. Tap on the Send button at the bottom-right corner of the Home page


  3. Select the “Outside Chipper” option


  4. Select the Country

  5. Select your preferred Bank Account option e.g.
    - DFCU Bank Uganda (Code DFCU)
    OR
    - Post Bank (Code PBU)

  6. Enter the details listed below and tap Continue once done:
    - The recipient’s full name and bank account number
    - The reason for the payment
    - Amount

  7. Confirm the transaction details and tap Send to complete the transaction


  8. Tap Done to return to the cash out screen

Your Chipper wallet will be debited instantly. Please note that the funds could take up to 4 business days to reach the recipient.
