Issuance Fee β‘ You will be charged a one-time NGN 1,000 issuance fee for the Chipper NGN Card.
βQuarterly Maintenance Fee Charged by our Banking Partner β‘ NGN 50 (Your card balance will be charged for this fee quarterly (on a 3-month basis). If your card does not have enough funds to cover the charge for a particular quarter, that fee will be charged the next time you top up or add funds to your card)
βNGN Card Withdrawal Fee β‘ A 5% fee is charged on all withdrawals from your Chipper NGN card to your Chipper wallet. This card withdrawal fee will also apply when the funds on your NGN card are liquidated or withdrawn to your wallet, e.g., when your NGN card is deleted.
βOriginal Credit Transaction Fee β‘ 1% fee on all transactions where customers receive funds from external sources (e.g. via Visa Direct) into their Chipper NGN card balance.

Is there a fee for topping up or withdrawing funds from your Chipper NGN Card?
Adding funds (top-up): Zero fees. We do not charge a fee for adding funds to your Chipper Card.
βWithdrawal: A 5% fee is charged on all withdrawals from your Chipper NGN card to your Chipper wallet. This card withdrawal fee will also apply when the funds on your NGN card are liquidated or withdrawn to your wallet, e.g., when your NGN card is deleted.

Would I be charged a fee if my Chipper NGN Card gets declined due to insufficient funds?
Yes, you will be charged a non-refundable NGN 500 fee for each NGN card transaction that fails due to insufficient funds.
To avoid this fee, kindly ensure that your Chipper NGN Card is always sufficiently funded in advance to cover all your one-time and recurring (subscription) online payments.
Is my Chipper NGN Card directly connected to my Chipper Wallet?
No, your Chipper Card is not automatically tied to your Chipper Wallet in the same way your bank card service works! This means that your Chipper Card balance is different from your Chipper Wallet balance.
Your Chipper Card would need to be funded from your Chipper Wallet before it can be used.
On what platforms can I use my Chipper NGN Card?
You can spend the card online anywhere cards are accepted locally (within Nigeria). This includes merchants such as Bolt, Jumia, Konga, and so on.
However, please note that you can only use the card on merchant sites that fall under our approved/supported merchant categories. The list of supported and unsupported merchant categories may evolve over time. We reserve the right to modify the list to meet certain legal and regulatory obligations.

What is my card Billing Address & Postal Code?
Please use your registered house address as your billing address. Also, use the postal/zip code of your registered house address.
My CVV still reads as 123. How do I change that?
Please fund your card first, then your default CVV (123) will change in 24 hours.
Once changed, you can use the new CVV as your security code for transactions on merchant sites.
Is the Virtual Card 3D secured?
Please note that the Chipper Cards(USD and NGN) have been programmed for 3D-secured authentication.
