The Chipper ecosystem is a community built on trust, therefore in order to continue using your Chipper account, you will have to submit valid documentation to verify your account.
From 29th September 2020 ongoing, you will be unable to cash in, cash out or send/receive payments on Chipper if your account is not verified.
Why does it say my account balance is pending?
You are unable to cash out or send payments until your account is verified. Once your account is verified, you will be able to cash in, cash out, and send payments to Chipper

BVN (Bank Verification Number)
National ID (GH/ECOWAS)
Ugandan National ID
Tanzanian National ID
Rwandan National ID
RW Foreign ID card
RW Refugee ID card
United States of America
Residence Permit (Green Card)

US Visas and Foreign Passports (for foreign nationals based in the USA)
I’m a resident in the country of my Chipper account but I don’t have the National ID documents required. What do I do?
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to verify IDs of other countries other than the country of your account.
Please reach out to our Customer Support Team by emailing [email protected] or by sending an in-app message (Profile - Get Support) if you do not have the documents required to verify your account. The team will make note of your circumstances and advise.
How do I submit my documents for account verification?
To submit your ID to verify your account, click on the “Profile” tab of your app and then on “Get Verified” to begin the verification process.
💡 Please be prepared to take a video selfie and a photo of your ID to confirm your identity.

How long does it take to verify my account?
Once you submit your documents, they will be reviewed within 1 to 2 business days.
If your submission is approved, the status of your verification on the “Profile” page of your app will be updated to “Approved” meaning your account verified
If your submission is rejected, you will receive a notification as to why it was rejected. Please scroll down to the bottom of the “Profile” page of your app to re-submit your documents
