I want to change my phone number

To change a phone number, please make sure to add an alternative phone number or email address to your account first. Then share the following information:

  • A short video of you saying only the last 4 digits of the ID/BVN you used to verify your account. You can share the short video with us via chat or email at [email protected].

  • The reason you want to remove the phone number or email address.

  • The phone number or email address you want to remove.

I want to remove a phone number/email address from my account

Please note that your account must be verified in order to make this request.

If it is verified, you can proceed to add another phone number or email address to your account first. Then, provide us with the following details:

  • A short video of you saying only the last 4 digits of the ID/BVN you used to verify your account. You can share the short video with us via chat or email at [email protected].

  • The reason you want to remove the phone number or email address.

  • The phone number or email address you want to remove.

Note: Do not share your full ID/BVN.

I lost access to the only phone number linked to my account What do I do?

Please reach out to the telco to request a SIM replacement. If you have done this and you were unable to replace the SIM, please share the following:

  • A short video of you saying only the last 4 digits of the ID/BVN you used to verify your account. You can share the short video with us via chat or email at [email protected].

  • The Chipper tag for the new account you created

  • The phone number is linked to the old account

  • Also, confirm if the account is funded

I want to add a new phone number or email address

Please note that you must meet the following requirement before we can assist with your request:

  • Your account must be verified

  • The phone number or email address you want to add must not be associated with any other account. However, if the phone number or email address is associated with another account, you will need to request its removal before we can add it to this particular account.

  • Then, share the following details:

    • Your Chipper Tag

    • A short video of you saying only the last 4 digits of the ID/BVN you used to verify your account. You can share the short video with us via chat or email at [email protected].

    • The phone number/email address you want to add

    • The reason you want to add it

I want to change my name

To change your name, please ensure the following:

  • That the account is verified

  • The name you are requesting to change to must match the name on the ID document/BVN that you used to verify your account.

💡Please note that we are unable to change the name on your already-issued Chipper Cash account number or virtual card.

  • If you are okay with the above, then share the name in this order.

    • First name

    • Middle name

    • Last/Surname

I want to change/update my date of birth

To change your date of birth, please ensure:

  • Your account is verified.

  • The DOB you are requesting to change to matches that of the ID document/BVN you used to verify your account

  • Then provide the following details:

    • Your date of birth

    • The last 4 digits of the BVN/ID used to verify your account

I want to change the address on my Chipper profile/account

You can update your address on your profile page by going to “Profile” ➡ “Personal” ➡ “Update your address

I want to remove a device from my account

To remove a device from your account, please go through the following steps:

Profile” ➡ “Settings” ➡ “Manage devices” and then click on the device to be removed

I want to increase my transaction limits

Please continue to transact within your current limits. Our team is currently developing a feature to increase these limits. We will notify you as soon as this feature is available.

I want to reset my PIN

I have tried to reset my PIN but I am getting an error message

If you are unable to reset your PIN, it could be because you are entering an incorrect date of birth or ID details.

If you are sure these details match, please proceed to share the following:

  • For Unverified Chipper accounts

    • A screen recording of the PIN reset process which is failing

    • The Phone number/email address used to register the Chipper account

    • The Month & Year the account was created

    • The last transaction made on your account

    • The mobile number currently in use

  • For Verified Chipper accounts

    • A screen recording of the PIN reset process which is failing

    • The Phone number/email address used to register your Chipper account

    • The Month & Year the account was created

    • The last transaction made on your account

    • The last 4 digits of the BVN/ID that was used to verify your account

    • The Name of the device currently in use
