Why am I unable to get OTP?
Sometimes, users may experience issues with OTP delivery via SMS. You can attempt the following to fix this issue:
Add an email address as an alternative log-in option. When you log in, the OTP will be sent to your email address.
Consider using the USSD alternative log-in option.
If you have turned on your mobile network's Do Not Disturb (DND) setting, we suggest you opt out of the DND setting as it could prevent you from receiving the OTP when you request a new one.
I want to change my account currency
At the moment, we are unable to change the currency associated with your account. To proceed, we recommend that you open a new account using a different phone number and email address.
What is a Chipper Tag?
Your Chipper tag is like a username in addition to your account name. It can be your first name, last name, or nickname. When creating your tag:
Please do not include any special characters such as '@' or punctuation marks such as commas and apostrophes
Please remove the word "Chipper" as this is your personal username
Can I edit my Chipper tag?
Yes, you can edit your Chipper tag on your profile page
How do I add my fingerprint?
Go to Profile → Settings. For iOS, select Enable Face ID/Print.
How do I enable or disable notifications on my app?
To customize your notification settings, follow these steps:
Go to your Profile.
Click on "Settings"
Select "Notification Settings."
Check the boxes corresponding to your preferred notification methods (push, email, and SMS).
Alternatively, you can disable notifications entirely if you prefer.
Why do I need to enable Transaction PIN?
This is an additional security layer added for account and transaction protection.
What type of phone/device does the Chipper app support (Android or iOS only)?
You can access the Chipper Cash app with both Android and iOS devices
Is your app available on the web version?
No, the Chipper Cash app is currently not available on the web version
What option do I select on the login page when I want to create a new account?
To sign up for a new account, please select the ”Open free account
” option
What option do I select when I want to log in to my existing account?
To access an existing account, use the “I have an account
” option
I am not 18 years yet, can I use your app?
To sign up and verify a Chipper Cash account, you must be 18 years of age or older.
Can I have more than 1 Chipper account?
You can only sign up for and verify one account with Chipper Cash. We do not support multiple accounts.
My account balance is missing and it looks like my account is no longer verified
If you access your Chipper account and it looks like you're signed in to a new account because your account balance is missing or account number is missing or your account is not verified, you may have mistakenly created a new account.
To ensure that you're accessing the correct account, follow these steps:
Check that the account you are accessing has the same Chipper tag as your old account. You can find your Chipper tag [Can be found on your Profile page, underneath your user name; it begins with "@"]
If the accounts do not match, confirm the phone number or email address you are using to access the account. It could be that you are mixing it up.
