Install the Chipper Cash app from the iOS App Store or Android Play Store.

The "Email-Only" Sign-Up

Getting a Chipper account is now as simple as 1-2-3:

Enter Your Email: Open the app and simply enter your email address. Proceed after selecting your Country of Identification. We will send a 6-digit code to your email. Enter it in the app to proceed.
Choose Your Chipper tag: Pick your unique handle (e.g. @MyName).7
Create your PIN: Set a 4-digit security PIN you’ll use to log in securely.

That’s it! Your account is created.

How do I verify my account with my BVN & NIN in Nigeria?

Chipper is built on trust and security. To keep your account secure, we simply need to verify your identity. For the smoothest experience, please ensure you have a strong internet connection and that your Chipper app is updated to the latest version on your App Store or Play Store.

💡Please follow the steps below to verify your account:

On your Chipper Home Page, go to your Profile at the top-right corner of the screen.
Scroll to the bottom of the "Profile" page and tap "Get Verified".
Complete the Selfie Check
Complete your selfie verification by following the on-screen instructions.
Simply position your face within the frame and follow the prompts.

Enter your ID Details
Verify your BVN and then your NIN. Once you complete your selfie verification, proceed to enter your BVN and NIN (National Identification Number) by clicking "Tap to Verify".
Verify Your Phone Number
Enter your phone number to receive a One-Time Password.
❗ If you are having trouble receiving SMS messages, you can now use the WhatsApp or USSD option.
Select Your Purpose
Briefly select the main reason you are using the app, such as savings, business, or sending money to family.
Submit and Track Status
Once you submit your details, you are all done.
